Congress behind attack on Ramdev, Sonia Gandhi should apologise: Chouhan

Indore Holding the Congress responsible for today\'s incident, in which, black ink was thrown at yoga guru Baba Ramdev, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan demanded party president Sonia Gandhi's apology for this "undemocratic act"."By indulging in this act against Ramdev, Congress has not only applied ink on yoga guru\'s face, but has blackened the party\'s face. The Congress chief should apologise to him for this unfortunate incident," Chouhan told reporters here.
"This act of Congress is undemocratic, anti-Indian and has crossed all the limits of decency. It has weakened the democracy," he said adding, "It also reflects the party\'s dictatorial mindset that the voices raised in its protest will be crushed."
Referring to the Hussain Tekri stampede near Jaora town in the district earlier today, in which, over 10 persons lost their lives, Chouhan said, a magisterial probe had been ordered and further action would be taken after getting the inquiry report.
He also said that the government would provide an ex-gratia of Rs one lakh each to the victims\' kin.

In my previous email, there is a correction regarding the identity of the persons in the first photograph. I received the following message from Shri Vijay Jolly referring to this photograph and connection of Kamran Siddiqui with Congress party:
"In the first photo Mr Kamran Siddiqui is seen standing with bearded Kurta Pajama clad Congress leader from Okhla Mr Mohamed Yonus Siddiqui and not Ram Vilas Paswan. Mr Mohd Yonus was the ex Chairman of Students wing of Congress Party. He had contested the elections of Delhi University Students Union against me ( Vijay Jolly) in 1980 on behalf of NSUI & Students Action Committee in Delhi and had lost miserably.
And Mr Yonus Siddiqui is also close to Digvijay Singh, Oskar Fernandes, Gulam Nabi Azad & 10 Janpath. So the links point out 10 Janpath & Sonia connection for the ink throwing incident with Baba Ram Dev ji.

It is good that the 'ink attacker' on Baba Ramdev has been identified as a Congress worker close to Sheila Dikshit. What more proof of the party's 'Dirty Tricks Dept' in such incidents? BJP and BSA activists must make an issue of this.Otherwise such incidents will continue.
